Gentle dreamer Andrea, 82, knows only one world, her beloved Bagdad Café––a fading Route 66 roadhouse attraction hard hit by the Covid-19 pandemic shutdown.

After losing her home to fire and struggling to survive in the Mojave Desert, an increasingly confused Andrea clings to her hope of reopening the Café, while her stoic local friends lovingly pull together to feed her fantasy: that the Café will rise again.
